The White Lady of Guam's Fonte River Bridge (Maina Bridge) is a local legend of a ghostly woman in white, appearing as a sad figure with long hair, said to haunt the area around dusk, sometimes warning travelers or even causing accidents, with tales attributing her death to a tragic accident or her abusive husband during the Spanish era. She's described as a sorrowful spirit who appears near the culvert between Maina and Agana Heights, often seen during stormy weather or as the moon rises, embodying classic "Lady in White" folklore.

Description of the Apparition:

A beautiful woman in a flowing white gown. Long, silvery hair that blows in the wind. A sad or mournful face.

The Legend's Variations:

The Abusive Husband: The most prominent story involves a beautiful Chamorita whose abusive Spanish husband forced her to fetch water in a storm, leading to her death in the hills, with her spirit now haunting the bridge.

Warning/Menace: Some believe she appears to warn villagers of approaching squalls, while others say she tries to lure drivers to danger, causing accidents.

Dusk/Moonrise Appearance: She's often seen at dusk or when the moon rises, disappearing as the moon fully emerges.
